At Chiawana High School, we believe that a strong partnership between schools, families, and the community is the foundation for student success. That's why we are proud to introduce you to Chiawana C.H.A.T., our Action Team for Partnerships (ATP).

Our Commitment to Partnership:

Since 2005, the Pasco School District has been an active participant in the National Network of Partnership Schools—a program established at Johns Hopkins University in 1996. The program's goal is to bring together schools, districts, and states that are dedicated to developing and maintaining robust school, family, and community partnerships.

What is Chiawana C.H.A.T.?

Chiawana C.H.A.T. (Communicating Happenings Around the Table) is our very own Action Team for Partnerships. Comprising parents, teachers, administrators, and community members, our team meets regularly to collaboratively develop a one-year action plan that fosters stronger school and family partnerships.

Our Team's Responsibilities:

  • Plan and Implement Activities: We ensure that the activities outlined in our plan come to life, fostering a more engaged and connected school community.

  • Evaluation: We assess the effectiveness of the activities we organize, ensuring they have a positive impact on student success and family involvement.

  • Publicize Events: Our team helps publicize school events that involve families, ensuring that our Chiawana community stays well-informed and engaged.

  • Idea Gathering: We actively gather ideas for new activities and initiatives that can further strengthen our partnerships.
